🌼作家ステートメント

絵画を中心に、写真、イラスト、音楽などジャンルにとらわれず作品をつくります。

人間、動物、魚、などあらゆる生き物や、自然、その関係性に興味を持っています。すべての生き物は平等だと思っていて、哲学や倫理に興味があります。

現在のアート作品や社会には、シニカルな視点や、感傷的なものが多いと感じることがあります。しかしわたしは、絵画やインスタレーション・展示では、年代や性別に囚われず美術に興味がなかった人でも、ただ楽しんでもらえたり、社会や鑑賞者自身の人生への新しい視点を獲得できるような、希望を感じてもらえる作品を作りたいと思っています。

歌では歌詞を自分で感じることや、勝手に脚色しないことを意識しています。詩をそのまま伝えるという気持ちで歌います。作曲では誰かの人生を表現する言葉を作りたいと思います。聞いた人の人生のその年代のテーマソングになるようなものを作りたいと思っています。

イラストは可愛くてかっこいい強い女の子を描いています。私は男性目線の女性も女性目線の男性も不自然になりがちだと思っていて、イラストによく見られる理想化することはあまりせずに、ファッション写真のような絵そのものとしてのかっこよさを表現したいと思っています。

写真は正直で全部写り込むものだと思っていて、写真家と被写体との間の独特な距離感に魅力を感じています。実際にその場に行くことや時間の面白さもあるのですが、私の主観や身体のノイズを全部消して、自分がいなくなる・透明になったときにいいものが撮れると思っています。

ハンドメイドでは、アーティストだからと言って敷居を高くするのではなく、誰でも手に取りやすく、自分の世界観を持ち帰ってもらえるものとして制作しています。キラキラしたもの、透明なもの、おもちゃのような可愛らしさがあるものを、アクセサリーやキーホルダーなどの形にしています。

🌼Artist Statement

I create works primarily in painting, but I’m not limited to any specific genre—I also work with photography, illustration, music, and more.

I’m interested in all living things—humans, animals, fish, and more—as well as nature and the relationships between them. I believe all living things are equal, and I’m interested in philosophy and ethics.

I sometimes feel that much of today’s art and society is characterized by a cynical perspective or excessive sentimentality. However, through my paintings, installations, and exhibitions, I aim to create works that allow people of all ages and genders—even those who have never been interested in art—to simply enjoy themselves, gain new perspectives on society and their own lives, and feel a sense of hope.

When I sing, I make a point of truly feeling the lyrics myself and not adding my own embellishments. I sing with the intention of conveying the poetry exactly as it is. When composing, I aim to create lyrics that express someone’s life story—songs that can serve as theme songs for that person’s life at a particular stage.

In my illustrations, I draw strong girls who are both cute and cool. I feel that depicting women from a male perspective or men from a female perspective can feel forced, so I try to avoid the stylized idealization typical of illustrations and instead aim to express a coolness reminiscent of fashion photography.

I believe photography is honest and captures everything; I find the unique sense of distance between the photographer and the subject fascinating. While there’s certainly value in actually being present at the scene and in the passage of time, I believe the best photos are taken when I eliminate all subjective and physical “noise”—when I disappear or become transparent.

In my handmade work, I don’t set the bar high just because I’m an artist; instead, I create pieces that are accessible to everyone and allow people to take a piece of my worldview home with them. I transform sparkly, transparent, and toy-like, cute items into accessories, keychains, and other items.
